Rows and cabin features
- Rows numbered: 1-88
- Bulkhead rows: 1, 11, 16, 31, 38, 48, 51, 52, 66, 80 and 87
- Over the wing: rows 55-70
- Bassinet rows: 51, 52 and 81
- Galleys: row 16 (mid, upper deck, between the two business sub-cabins (rows 11-15 and 16-28)) and row 48 (forward, lower deck, between first and economy cabins)
- Lavatories: row 88 (rear, lower deck, on three sides of the last rows)
What is distinctive about this configuration
- Deck split is unusual vs. many other A380 operators: First class sits on the LOWER/main deck nose (not upper deck), while Business AND Premium Economy occupy the ENTIRE upper deck (front and rear respectively); Economy fills the rest of the main deck. This differs from carriers like Emirates/Singapore Airlines which put First+Business together on the upper deck.
- No Economy seating remains on the upper deck; a small upper-deck Economy mini-cabin existed pre-refurbishment but was removed when the fleet was reconfigured to 14F/70J/60W/341M.
- Business Suite is a staggered 1-2-1 all-aisle-access product (part of Qantas's A380 refurbishment program), replacing the older herringbone/Skybed Business layout.
- Row 1 in First (1A/1K only, no 1F) mirrors the same 'reduced bulkhead row' pattern later seen in Qantas's 787-9 Business cabin.
- A crew-rest compartment access point beneath the cabin floor reportedly forced removal of seat 70D in Economy, a distinctive one-off row exception.
- Front staircase area doubles as an inflight bar/lounge space, a signature Qantas A380 feature.
Where this comes from
Every row above is researched against published cabin plans for this operator and then checked against live availability. Where a figure is not known it says so rather than being estimated, which is why some pitch cells read "not recorded" instead of carrying a number we would not defend.
Seats abreast and seat pitch are defined in the glossary, alongside cabin layout and bassinet rows.
